1. Do you accept patients as family physicians?   
-No, we provide services for Addiction and Mental Health, Women's Health, and other advanced Integrative Services. We do provide bridging primary care services to our existing patients.   
 
2. Do you see walk-in patients and wait time?   
-Although we are not a walk-in clinic, existing and new patients suffering from Addiction and Mental Health concerns may walk in due to the urgent nature of the disorders. Wait times may vary daily due to the complex needs of our patients.
 
3.  How can I book appointments?
-To schedule an appointment, please call our office directly. Our staff will guide you through the necessary steps. We are unable to offer online bookings or email consults at this moment. 
 
4. What services are covered by the AHS?  
-Services covered by the AHS include most general medical consultations and treatments. Significant exceptions include Integrative and Functional Medicine consults, advanced testing, and IV therapies which are NOT COVERED by AHS.  Please contact us for specific details.  ​
 
5. What are the fees for services not covered by the AHS?   
-Fees for services not covered by the AHS vary based on the service provided. Please contact our office for detailed information.  ​
 
6. Is there a waitlist?   
-There may be a waitlist for certain services. Please contact our office to check current availability.  ​
 
7. Do I need a referral to see a physician for all services?
-Referrals are not required for Addiction, Mental Health, Women's Health, and Integrative Services. We do prefer referrals for gender-affirming care and iron infusion services.  
 
8. Do you have a psychologist or psychiatrist on staff?   
-No. We refer out for these services. However, we do have addiction counselors on site.
 
9. Can I attend the clinic just for a counseling appointment?   
-Yes, you may visit our clinic solely for a counseling appointment, however, an initial appointment with one of our physicians would be needed for diagnostic clarity before your appointment with the counselor.  ​
 
10. Do you provide driver's medical examinations?
-Yes, we offer driver's medical examinations to our existing patients who have been under our care for at least 6 months. 
  ​
11. Can I get AISH and disability forms filled out during my first appointment?
-No, you need to be an established patient to have AISH and disability forms filled. We would recommend this to be at least 6 months in duration.  
12. Is there parking on site?
-Yes, there is limited parking behind the building. If full, please use on-street paid parking. 
13. How are appointments confirmed and canceled?
- Our staff will confirm all appointments a day prior. We appreciate as much notice as possible to cancel appointments. No-show fees varying from $ 50 to $250 will apply for no-show appointments or canceled with less than 24 hours notice depending on the service intended.  Unconfirmed appointments may be canceled unless confirmed by the patient by 5 pm of the previous day. The Clinic reserves the right to terminate care after 3 missed or late visits. Due to the complex needs of our patients, we cannot guarantee accommodation for early or late arrivals. 
14. Do you have students on site?
- Yes, The Smart Clinic trains healthcare professionals. We may have Medical, Nursing, or Admin students training on-site. 
15. Is there a pharmacy on site?
- Yes, Smart Pharma is located on the lower level of the building.
