Dr. Simran Khosa is a compassionate and dedicated physician with expertise in Women's Health, Integrative and Functional Medicine*. During her medical studies at the prestigious University of Newcastle Medical School in UK, she developed a deep commitment to a holistic approach to medicine as her training offered her invaluable insights into the benefits of integrative therapies and nutritional medicine. Dr Simran combines evidence-based therapies into her practice, providing comprehensive and patient-centered care.
Throughout her five years of postgraduate training, Dr. Simran gained extensive experience across various fields of medicine. Her specialty training in Family Medicine, combined with a diploma in Reproductive and Sexual Healthcare, solidified her focus on empowering women by addressing the root causes of health issues rather than merely managing symptoms.
In Australia, Dr. Simran further honed her expertise by working in a hybrid healthcare system that blended public and private care. While at a premier medical clinic in Sydney, she collaborated with Dr. Carol Hungerford, author of Good Health in the 21st Century, which deepened her proficiency in Integrative Primary Care. This experience sparked her pursuit of advanced training in Nutritional and Environmental Medicine, with a particular focus on the gut microbiome's impact on health and disease.
Dr. Simran’s dedication to lifelong learning led her to complete advanced training in Anti-Aging, Regenerative, and Functional Medicine. These qualifications enable her to seamlessly blend conventional medicine with cutting-edge diagnostics and functional medicine approaches to address the root causes of illness and promote long-lasting health.
As the Physician Lead for Women's Health and Integrative Medicine at The Smart Clinic in Calgary, Dr. Simran is deeply committed to empowering her patients through compassionate, holistic care. She focuses on treating the whole person, ensuring each patient receives personalized, comprehensive care tailored to their unique needs.
